i purchase your refrigerator based o what i know about other products, i have a very expensive refrigerator that i cant get filters for, the product number is the same but the item is not. the filter will not fit not matter how hard to try and da29-00003b and da29-00003g is not the same. someone needs to look at the product. a blind man can see that. i now have a refrigerator that is useless.

Why change the filters? Makes no sense

same complaint as others…water filter no longer fits…. who managed this project? makes no sense when there are thousands of refrigerators out there, im sure, requring the original model filter.
im available if you want better product management. shame

i bought several "original" samsung filters on ebay, and right off they didn't fit.
before you even insert it, do some research. see if the stated manufacturer even makes that particular filter. see if the holes at the top are perfectly round. there are videos that show what to look for.
so, this has taught me to buy from samsung or an official dealer.
it's amazing what counterfeiters do. they even had the magnetic "green stripe" gimmick !
be careful out there !

Horrible product why would they change the origina

I purchased the filter about a month ago and it would not fit on there very well. Kind of clipped on there and water went all over the place in my refrigerator on the floor. It was a complete mess.

Totally unimpressed with Samsung!

Samsung really messed up by producing two different key lock mechanisms fir the same model of filter. Also, their website even recommends a tall slim filter for my fridge instead of tge short fat one it actually needs!
On top of that, it's NOT easy to remove and old filter, especially due to it's location.
They can't have got it any more wrong!

I following link to the instructions provided by Samsung to replace filters that won't fit (lock in place) and it will NOT work. I nearly broke my refrigerator.

Don't buy it, it doesn't fit

Just like everyone else, this filter does not fit my older Samsung fridge despite being listed as the compatible filter. Also, the stupid "twist your old filter all the way to the left to reset the lock" troubleshooting guide did not work for me, and sounds like a great way to break your water filter completely. Ridiculous that Samsung hasn't addressed this issue.
