[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my mother as her Christmas gift. I have a funny definition for gifts: they must be used more than five times a year, something that will really be used. Mom is into scrapbooking and printing her own photos. She will use this gift often and enjoy it. She has an older printer she knows how to use. A newer printer might confuse her. I appreciate you.

I've been using HP ink for over a decade now and this combo pack is the best value. The quality is consistently excellent. It also produces the most pages.

Used in my 7410 OfficeJet, I wish HP would continue this cartridge in new printer versions instead of the multiple 4-cartridge type that is popular now. People I know using the individual color cartridges tell me of their dislike for them (regardless of manufacturer). Maybe they're good for photo only printing, but for all purpose printing (including photos) I prefer the 96/97 2-cartridge system. Also, never had a problem with shelf life or non-activity usage where the printer sits idle.
