Somewhat Disappointed
on August 31, 2022
Posted by: Baysidemom

Just replaced my old GE Potscrubber. This one is very noisy and the inside racks do not give me as much space for dishes as the old one. It also seems to take longer for the cycle to be completed. I also read that this unit has been discontinued. I live in a Co-op and they replace dishwashers for me.

Response from geappliances.comBy Michael @ GE AppliancesGE AppliancesSeptember 15, 2022
Hi there,

Thanks for leaving a review for your dishwasher. We see that this model is rated at 64 dBA. Remember, actual sound levels can be a little different once installed in the home. You might find the appliance quieter or louder than the decibel rating suggests. The loudness of a dishwasher depends on the installation location, the cabinetry where it is located, the flooring, the countertop above it, and even whether the dishwasher is full of dishes or partially empty.

Also, if you have questions about the cycle wash times and loading the unit, you're free to take a look at pages 9 and 15, respectfully, in your Use and Care manual, here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55114-1.PDF&_ga=2.246456516.1127555770.1663240271-921338026.1663240271

We do hope this helps!

Know that we're always here if you have other questions or concerns in the future.

Best wishes,
Michael@GEA

What a head ache
on October 26, 2022

The water pump was slow leaking from day to 1. I didn’t have it checked because I had faith in the product and thought it was a possible plumbing issue from the freeze that the plumbers couldn’t find. By the time I realized it was in fact the dishwasher, the warranty was over and my kitchen floor was ruined. The part that went bad had been discontinued and they suggested a different one. Very disappointed

Awful, cheap dishwasher
on October 28, 2022
Posted by: Lm1719
My landlord put in this dishwasher after she renovated our rental house. We moved in and the dishwasher worked for the first 2 years. Not great but it made washing all the dishes that come with a family of 4 a little easier. Well by year 2 the dish washer stopped draining. Disgusting water kept pooling at the bottom. Then the dishes stopped getting clean. I'd have to run the machine 3 times to get anything clean. Now the timer went out so its absolutely useless and will grt stuck on random cycles. If I owned this home, this horrible dish washer would be the first thing to go to the dump. Absolutely 100% do not recommend. And I don't know how anyone thinks this thing is quiet. It is so so loud.

Hello - Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. However, we regret to hear that the motor has failed causing a leak. This is certainly not the ownership experience we'd want you to have, and we apologize for the trouble this has caused. We'd love to help you!

Please know our appliances come with a limited one-year warranty. During this time, we cover any part of the dishwasher which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. We will also provide, free of charge, all labor and related service to replace the defective part.

We recommend scheduling service so a certified GE Appliances technician can diagnose and repair your unit in no time. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.

Although we stopped manufacturing this unit, we strive to provide the best possible quality and will share your review with our quality team for any necessary improvements. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns; we'd be glad to help! We wish you the very best. -Shayla@GEA
