The charge 2 distorts a lot a low level. Classical guitar or piano notes are truncated. It feels like the amp has a bad contact connexion. and "grrrssl" noise is heard between the notes.
Pop music is ok.
Hopes it can be fiexd with firmware update

Big disappointment

I was going to purchase the charge, when i saw ; "charge 2 coming soon"
So i waited, when i first connected my ipod i was disapointed...long story short i went back for the louder charge 1...love the new look tho..

I had a Charge 1 liked it but after learning about the new 2's being able to take cell calls I wanted that feature a lot then I saw the 2+ Splashproof, that was the one I wanted! Great color choices and the sound quality is awesome!!! I have listened to music and played movies through this Charge 2+ Splashproof - I am happy with the battery endurance. I got the RED one but the charging cord and plug looks orange (disappointing) and my previous
Charge 1 and Flip 2 both came with a protective case for when not using it, the Charge 2+ Splashproof does not come with one, BOO :( I wish I there was info where to find a full operating manual, you get a "quick start" one with the 2+ only.

Charge 1 vs Charge 2

I have purchased the Charge and Charge 2. Charge 2 does appear to have more bass response but a little less mid to high frequency coverage. If you are looking for more volume, go with the Charge 2. If lower volume and a fuller sound is more important, go with the original Charge. My Charge 2 hit the pavement hard twice last week and plays like new. Both are well engineered.

I bought the Charge2 and have not regretted it at all. The charge lasts longer than other products. Ease of operation is a big plus. It tethers via Bluetooth quickly. The sound is excellent. Great tone and very sharp. Thank you JBL for a quality product with fast and efficient service.
