Better sounding with more features! But....

I preordered this when I got the email & was happy I received it quickly. After charging it I gave it a whirl. The sound is improved from the first version. The bass, is very impressive! The few downsides is that it doesn't come with a carrying case. The speakerphone is a welcome addition, but it isn't very loud! Even trying to adjust the volume it doesn't get loud. Go figure. The final thing, it doesn't sound any louder than the 1st version even though it says it's 7.5 watts a channel. Anyways it is a good speaker & you probably can't find one with the bass this thing puts out.

Pretty Good speaker

It really should come with a case. I bought this product over the summer and since then after never dropping it only putting it in my book bag it has several dents in the front and back of the speaker. The look of the speaker is ruined. The bass sounds amazing but it can take over the song sometimes and fades away the lyrics. The fact the speaker only has one side where the audio comes out (the front) makes the speaker more a direct sounding one. I used to own the JBL Pulse (great speaker) until it was stolen. The audio would come out of all sides of the speaker, because of that It was a louder speaker. So If you want to walk around with the charge 2 in your book bag you might just want to face it up. If you have a party try to find a corner in the room where it faces everywhere. Overall the one REALLY big thing its missing is a case. Not just a case to hold it but a protective one. One thing they need to fix is the usb charging slot in the back. When I first tried to use it my usb got stuck in there eventually I got it out after multiple tries and my finger and thumb skin ripping off. It would get stuck for another 15-20 times. Now its better. That is why overall I give this speaker a 3 out of 5 stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound....but..

Its awesome and I have the original charge too but it NEEDS to come with a protective case like the flip and the original charge so you can throw it in a bag and not worry about it....I was very disappointed that it does not come with one nor do you make one as an accessory. Also the + and - volume rockers should be illuminated or at least highlighted. they are black on black!

Great sound in a small package

I bought the Charge 2 to listen to music on my 18' bass boat. It sounds fantastic. Keep in mind that this unit is not much bigger than a 12 ounce beverage can so its not going to sound as good as a surround sound system with a sub woofer, however it sounds better than many of the book shelf speakers i've heard. It also sounds better than every other speaker in its class that I listened to.

This is the best portable/bt speaker out. Full range of sound. Full, warm bass and crisp mids and highs. Max Volume is enough to satisfy, and no distortion on any volume setting. Better than friends and family Bose and UE Boom. Quality of build, sound, and experience is why I remain loyal to JBL. Aux in and USB port for charging my mobile are the cherry on top.

Awesome wireless speaker!

I bought a JBL Flip last December and it's really nice. Then I bought the JBL J46BT headphones and liked them too. So, when it came time to add another Bluetooth to my collection for another location this model was the obvious choice. It doesn't seem to have the volume level of the Flip but the sound is so much richer with more bass. When using the hands free phone I was told that the caller on the other end could hear me much clearer with the Charge 2 vs. the Flip. (That not why I bought it so that really isn't important to me. The extra battery life and USB port is very appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Amazing Speaker

I got this speaker as a gift and really enjoy it! It has a great sounds quality and the bass is amazing. The battery works for a long time and I can even charge my phone while listening. I really recommend this speaker to people who want a good but not too big speaker. It could come with a case or some kind of protections though. I mostly have it in my room but if I would take it outside I'd maybe need a case for it.
