Needs a case

I thought it would be better...

Im kinda disappointed with this product, there is a lot of distortion at mid level if your playing a song full of bass. It doesn't exist a protective case for this, mine was only one week and a half and it got stains that cant be removed. It sure have good features like social mode, built in microphone and it easy to use plus it looks great in general. I hope JBL make another version solving the distortion issues and at least put some cases for sale.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had tried a could different brands before. I tried each for a few days only to realize the bass was either too extreme and the treble too weak in comparison, or the bass was kinda "flat" (changing the sound setting on my new Samsung Galaxy S6 did NOT help). So, I was discouraged enough to return both and wasn't ready to make another choice yet. Two weeks later, today, I walked into my favorite electronics store, went straight over to the portable sound system section, and did the demo of the JBL Charge 2+ and INSTANTLY loved the wonderful treble and bass. Clarity and deep perfect bass! I bought one and believe it's "keeper"!

Small box, BIG/Loud Sound

I originally bought the Charge and then saw that the Charge 2 was coming out. I wanted to upgrade to the Charge 2 because of the sleek look. I am very happy now that I have upgraded to the 2.
The sound is great. I love the fact that there are two subwoofer (bass) now. It vibrates on both ends and really shows how strong and loud it can get.
The sleek look and feel is a nice change from the Charge 1. It's definitely more sophisticated in appearance.
Pros:
- sleek design
- great bass and sound
- unique design (like a mini-torpedo)
- easy to sync up to wifi devices

Cons:
- there is NO carrying pouch like the Charge 1

This portable speaker bumps!

Picked out this jbl charge 2 as a gift and I was blown away by the sound, the audio is pretty clear and the bass is rich, although it doesn't have very deep bass like a sub but its bass response is still very good at 75 hz, it has that boom type of bass and it can crank loud without distortion. Much better then the flip 2 at 100hz and the beats pill. Good value.

Crystal clear sound!

This speaker is just amazing! It definitely has the best sound in this class. Deep punch in the bass and crystal clear highs. This is so far my best purchase that I did ever! I just love this speaker. Keep up the good work JBL!

Great Sound in a Small Package!

I have had this speaker for about 6 months and have never had a quality issue. This speaker, surprisingly, sounds like a home stereo. Great Bass and over all sound. I don't see an issue with voices over the speaker as much as others say. I even use in my noisy car and it works great. The bluetooth range is great too. I can leave the speaker in one room and go anywhere in the house and the speaker still works.
Others tell me they have a hard time hearing me when I use the speaker phone. They say I sound like I am in a tunnel. I just turned this feature off. Now when my phone rings the music pauses until my call is over. When I hang up, the music resumes as normal.
The battery will last me about 4-5 days of just listening to music for a few hours a day and using with my navigation map while in the car. We also occasionally use it paired with the laptop when Netflixing. I charge the speaker over night and I am good to go for another few days.
I've accidentally dropped this off the counter twice, a shelf once, and it has rolled around my car floor and it still works with no dings! I take it every where with me.

GREAT Speaker!! but where is case to protect it?

Great Sound !!! Best of any in it's class. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the following shortcomings:
#1- Needs case to protect it, & store charger & USB cable. Sleek & stylish, but too easy to damage.
#2- Needs app for remote control.
#3- Passive Radiators should have protection. Too tempting to touch as they vibrate, especially for kids. Saw a store display where Passive Radiators were distorted from people poking too much.
#4- It would be nice if it had a screw mount centered on the bottom for a small tripod. This would allow the speaker to have space underneath, which would give better sound quality.
