Works on Win7, but driver crashes the system

I work with USB-serial converters at work all the time. I was working from home recently and needed a converter. Didn't want to drive all the way into work, so I dropped over to Best Buy and picked up one of these. I followed the instructions in others reviews to download the Win 7 driver off the web. I got it working, but it's very flaky and after a while it will freeze the Win 7 OS. Locks it up solid, not even a blue screen. This product is a complete waste of time and is overpriced even if it did work reliably. Ended up having to restore my Win7 system to remove the driver.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Uh... It crashes Win7
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great adapter

After following instructions and installing the software off the mini CD that came with the adapter it didnt install corrrectly. I tried a different USB port and it came up and started working. I switched it back to the initial USB port I installed it on and it works there now too!
What's great about it: easy to install
What's not so great: had to try different USB ports to get it to work initially
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this dongle to add DB9 Serial functionality to my Asus netbook. I installed the driver (included on a cd) and then plugged in the dongle. It installed with no problems.
