I've had a 4K 3D TV for a year, but no full 4K input method; closest was the PS4. Streaming full 4K NASA video and having the TV convert to 3D is just life changing. Next up: every movie I own, especially Star Wars and Speed Racer.

I've paired this to my Sony 4K TV and receiver and it hasn't let me down. For me, one of the very few players that actually play MKV files without issues. It is a beautiful low profile machine that hasn't hiccuped yet!

Does the job, but every week I have to unplug it because it freezes up and flashes "off". Looked online and there are many other complaints about the same issue.

Hello jfish! We would like to recommend to follow these steps, also make sure that the unit has the latest firmware installed :
•Using the supplied remote, press the HOME or Menu button.
•Select SETTINGS.
•Select SCREEN SETTINGS
•Select BD-ROM 24p Output, DVD-ROM 24p Output, HDMI Deep Color Output.
•Select Off for each option.
•Go back to the setup menu and select SYSTEM SETTINGS.
•Select QUICK START MODE and turn option OFF.
If issue persist please follow the steps available through the following link to reset unit back to factory default settings:

PREVIOUSLY had a Samsung and had problems streaming. Bought the Sony Blu Ray and Sony TV both products are the best...no more problems with streaming and picture is perfect...

SO FAR SO GOOD.... I DID NOT GIVE THIS PRODUCT A FIVE STAR RATING BECAUSE IT IS TO EARLY TO TELL YET....I MAY UPDATE THIS AT ANOTHER TIME.
THE INTERFACE IS A REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENT.. OVER THE SMP- N200 . EASY NAVIGATION....LARGER FRAMES WHEN VIEWING YOUR MOVIE CHOICES . ALSO EVERYTHING RUNS SMOOTH INCLUDING ENHANCING YOUR ROUTER SIGNAL.
THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS SETTING IT UP. YOU HAVE TO CALL SONY AND HAVE SOMEONE WALK YOU THROUGH IT. HOWEVER, SO FAR, SO GOOD. I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Best blue-ray player

Sony hit a home run with this product. Watch NETFLIX or some of your older movies again through this player. The upscale on this is not exaggerated . I have a 4k sony tv , this player upscales your movies/Netflix to 4k making me so glad I bought my 4k tv now. You will see the difference that 4k EXPIERENCES are meant to be. Thx SONY. I bought another one for my family room too.. Highly recommend this payer..
