Plays DVD's and Blu Ray's great, although lagged on one disk when loading had to restart the disk. The issue I have is when watching a movie from Netflix, etc. the picture will freeze and/or continue to play but the remote control is inoperable, unable to use any of the buttons. Tried them all and I couldn't even turn the player off using the remote control or the power button on the player itself. Had to unplug it. It has happened three times now. The current firmware is installed.

This Blue-ray Disc player is awesome. The picture quality is better than I have ever experienced - and I am playing it through a rather dated Plasma HD TV. Set up is simple. The Internet streaming experience leaves you wanting for more. Great product... but then again, you already expect that from SONY.

Easy to setup and use

The player was easy to setup and the installation and configuration process was simple. Connecting to my home WiFi network was a breeze. My only complaint is with the remote as it has no keypad for letters/numbers. But overall I am quite pleased with this product.
Got a 70" 4K TV for Christmas, this player makes even regular (Non Blue Ray) DVDs look great. Hard to find 4K DVDs but I do have some on order and I expect them to look awesome on this TV.

This is an amazing little player. The streaming functions are superb. Watching 3D Blu-ray discs is simple and the quality is great. Why pay more, when this will do everything you need!!!

Had an issue with it turning off in the middle of the movie. Updated my software then reset to default settings and now seems to be working just fine.
