I got this lens for my 7D (first generation) and I have to say, this is my go-to lens for what I shoot (travel/landscape). I use this lens for probably at least 60% of my photos.

I bought this in 2004 with my 20D and still use it on my R6mkII which recognizes it and automatically switches to crop mode.
It is my favorite ‘walking around” lens on vacations.
