[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LUXE Wide Conical Wand heats up fast! I timed it, to see if it was true to the advertising on the box, and it is. It is able to get to a salon-temp within 30 seconds, so for women on-the-go, it is a great choice. The glove is great for keeping yourself from getting burned by the LUXE Wide Conical Wand at such high temps. It will not withstand direct, constant heat, so you still need to be attentive to your fingertips.
I was provided a LUXE Wide Conical Wand by Remington in exchange for my honest review. I have tried the Wand on 3 separate occassions in order to provide this review. The first time I tried it my hair was slightly damp [dry on top with a bit of slightly dry hair underneath]. I am used to a standard curling iron and while I liked that I didn't have to deal with the opening and closing of the wand, I did need to adjust my arms to figure out how to wrap the hair properly without twisting the hair first. When the hair was twisted before wrapped, I could not achieve a curl at all. When it was wrapped, I was only able to achieve a slight curl. I was unhappy with the results of this session, which was about 20 mins. I have shoulder length hair which is thick.
For my second trial, I thought it would be fun to curl my daughter's hair for Halloween. She had parts of her hair with hair chalk in them and other parts with no product. I used the LUXE Wide Conical Wand on both parts. All of her hair was dry. She is 5 years old and has shoulder length hair that is medium in thickness. The LUXE Wide Conical Wand did a nice job of curling the dry, untreated hair [as per the directions!] but was not help with her hair that had product in it. Again, true to its' word! :)
For my third trial of the LUXE Wide Conical Wand, I washed and dried my hair completely. I settled in to give this a go again, truly hoping for incredible, date-night results. I am giving the LUXE Wide Conical Wand an average rating because despite my best efforts, I only achieved a few curls and unfortunately, none of them held for more than about 30 minutes. Normally, with my hair, I would use product before curling in order to help the curls stay in place for 8 hours, but the LUXE Wide Conical Wand wouldn't work with product already in my hair. I didn't get the desired number or shape of curls in my hair after nearly 40 minutes of wrapping and holding small sections of hair so there was no need to add product afterward.
Using small sections of hair and high temps, I held the hair in a wrapped position for 30-45 seconds. Sometimes I achieved a wavey curl with that length of time and other times I didn't. I was surprised that my results were not consistent.
Currently, I curl my hair a few times a month. It may be user-error or a quality of my hair that prevents me from enjoying this product to its' fullest. I recommend the LUXE Wide Conical Wand to those who are looking to achieve wavey-curls and have long, medium-to-thin hair.

Awesome Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I am a die hard traditional curling iron (the kind with the clip to hold hair in place), I must say this product exceeded my expectations.
I was kind of scared of the fact it didn't have a clip to hold hair in place, but I figured I'd give it a chance. I love the fact that it comes with a "special" glove to help you keep from burning yourself while maneuvering your hair around the iron. As most of us know even the "traditional" curling irons can cause burns if not careful.
I love the fact that this particular iron allows you to have the ability to curl your hair in two different sizes. All you have to do is focus wrapping your hair either towards the bottom for bigger curls or the top for smaller curls. And it came with a case to keep it in. All in all I am quite pleased with this product. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that is basically two curling irons in one.

Remington Conical Wand Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often style shoulder-length hair with a curling iron - it's my styling method of choice. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Remington T|Studio LUXE Wide Conical Wand. This was my first time using a styling wand and I expected it to be very similar to my usual curling iron. I have to admit that when it comes to hair styling, I'm not a professional whatsoever. My first attemp to use the Wand felt a little awkward and took a little getting used to. Although it was more time consuming and difficult for me than my usual curling iron (which is strictly because of my lack of skill) I did like the look that I was able to achieve. After using it on a few more occasions, it became easier for me to handle. I really like some of the features of the Wand. The ability to lock the temperature setting is great because I'm always accidently touching the temperature control without realizing it, often lowering the temp without intending to, so this is a great feature. The Wand comes with glove, which at first I thought was strange but soon realized that it's very handy because I did accidently touch the heated part of the wand and it was quite hot. The shut-off feature is also great so you do not have to wonder and worry if you remebered to turn off the Wand. All in all, this is a nice tool that, after some practice, I enjoyed using.

Easy to use!

This is the first time I succeed in making my hair wavy. I tried using some other curler before and it didn't work. This one is easy to use, even for beginners like me. I'm surprised how long it lasted too.

Beautiful waves

Using the wand for the first week, it was very difficult to use. It seems "slippery". After using the wand for a couple of weeks, I am finally used to it. The first thing I really love about it is that there is no way for the ends of my hair to get "crimped". The second thing I love is that this wand makes very smooth wavy curls. I love it. My hair looks beautiful with a lot of body and shine! I think I will be buying a skinnier one.

Good Size and Handle!

The size was great and it gave me fantastic curls that lasted. I found that it did not burn my hair and it made my curls shiny and beautiful. Overall a great product!

Curl Holds Great
