Ink Levels Lower

Be aware! The ink levels for this value pack are not the same as in the combo pack (CC604FN)...they are less. After an hour on the phone with HP and conflicting answers, I finally received a solid answer that the ink levels in this value pack are less. I've been purchasing this pack for the past two years thinking I was getting a deal. I do not use the photo paper (I print labels), so it was a waste all around. If quantity is what you're looking for, this is not a value at all!
I'm still an HP fan, just wish they would disclose the facts to consumers.
What's great about it: Easy install, vivid colors
What's not so great: Lower ink fill than combo pack! No disclosure
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

May not be getting what you think

When I first started buying this Value Package, my assumption was that I was getting "standard" cartridges with the same amount of ink that's in the individual cartridges. Unfortunately, that is not true.
In very small print, the package states that these are "customize cartidges" made to print out about a 150 4X6 photo cards, exactly the number that comes in the box.
It would be nice to compare exact volumes in ml's between what comes in each cartridge in this package with information that is easily obtainable for each "standard" cartridge. Getting exact volume amounts for the value package from HP has been impossible to get, at least for me.
What's great about it: You THINK you are getting a great deal
What's not so great: You are actually getting much less ink than whats in individual cartridges
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This seemed like a 'great' price at the time. Only to get home and find out that the ink cartridges contained less ink that thought. The ink cartridges were believed to be full sized ones(I asked an Associate), same as the ones in just the multi-pak(w/o the 4x6 paper), but as I found out online, the set I bought had less ink. I found out that when you buy the kit with paper, the ink cartridges hold enough ink to print out that amount of paper. Now I know, and I hope the Associates at your store will know this too. It was still a very good deal.....just not as good as originally thought.
What's great about it: Everything you need to print 4x6 photos.
What's not so great: Package should have a disclaimer that there is only enough ink to print on the photo paper enclosed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pros:
Free shipping and you can save $20 when you purchase two.
When I purchased this item in January the total came to $63.58 with tax, that's $31.79 per ink pack. I found this to be the best price for the product.
Cons:
This ink is pricy. I like the printer though and ink in general is pricy for all-in-one printers. The photo value pack does present a lower price, but it is intended to give you enough ink for the 150 photos. I am not sure if it would be worth it to shell out the extra arm and a leg for the ink cartridges with higher ink content. You can expect to pay around $100 for all six individual cartridges. For now, I'm happy with this buy.
What's great about it: easy to install, good quality
What's not so great: The amount of ink and don't get it wet unless you want to see it bleed
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the best deal ever.... If these ink cartridges were bought seperately they would run over 85.00. This is truely a "BEST BUY".
What's great about it: "Best buy" for the money

Good Package Deal

This is probably the best deal for HP printers with multiple cartridges. However, I'm not sure about the cartridges being "half full". I seem to get just as many prints as I would a normal cartridge. The only problem with this kit is that you will eventually have extra duplicate colors that you don't use as much. And if you don't print out photos as often, you will have lots of extra paper. Not a big problem, as you can always buy the colors you need seperately.
What's great about it: All-in-one package
What's not so great: Extra cartidges and paper after awhile
I would recommend this to a friend!

Others have said it before me, I'll say it again. This is a no-brainer. The cost of the ink cartridges sold individually are a good bit more than this value pack and you get 150 sheets of photo print paper as well.
What's great about it: Excellent price
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had my HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One Printer for nearly 6 years and I have never had a problem with it. I always use HP ink and have never had to buy additional 4x6 photo paper.
I print photos all the time, to send to relatives. The colors are vibrant and the quality of the prints is wonderful.
What's great about it: Besides all 6 colors the pack includes 4x6 photo paper
I would recommend this to a friend!
