Battery life has a glitch. Cell Standby ate 65% of my phone battery. Have to turn off all the fantastic features to have any kind of phone. I hope we get a fix soon, because I love this phone and would like to keep it. I am so disappointed. My ratings are all poor because it doesn't work without the battery.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, battery drain

Need to improve apps like email, s voice.

This my first android phone from Samsung after 4 years of Iphone use. S voice never registers my complete wakeup command. So you can understand how it responds for other conversation. Including S Voice I am gettin network error lot of times. Email app need enhance ment to support auto refresh to remove unread count, de-activate accounts etc. It is missing lot of features that are useful to fast interaction.
All the banking apps are not working as expected, not sure it is with app providers or phone OS issue.

Hi
The Samsung looks like it was rushed out as an iPhone killer. The hardware is good, but often it sends instructions relating to a Kies application (cannot tether without Kies, cannot update calendar without Kies, etc.). I don't mind having apps that do cool things, but when we are talking about basic Smartphone technical capabilities (tethering, calendar update) that should be handled by the Android operating system I do not think I should be required to install another program (i.e., Kies).
Cons: Did not meet expectations, unprofessional software

HORRIBLE features and volume control

I was really looking forward to this phone because of the dual core and 2gb of ram. The phone, it turns out, only has 1.6 gb of ram available and this is quickly used with minimal use. The phone does not transition between home screens smoothly like you would expect, it instead lags when sliding between screens and when opening basic features like phone calls and texting. One of the most annoying features of the phone is that the text and message alerts come out of the phones speakers when headphones are plugged in. There is no option to disable this, I have looked. This can be particularly annoying when in a location that you dont want sound coming from the phone. I always thought that the reason you used headphones was because you wanted to be silent, otherwise you would just have the sound come from the speakers, which work very well and produce a nice amount of sound. Wifi goes on and off throughout the day and you must disable wifi and re-enable it in order for it to come back even when standing next to the wireless router. Also, the display brightness is just not there, it is not bright at all, forget using it outdoors at all because you wont be able to see the screen. I do not recommend this phone.

Pretty much wat u can expect for the latest phones, with some add on apps and utilities like a cherry on a cake.......
the addition of the HDMI port could have completed the true meaning of a Multimedia phone

the S3 is the most awesomest smartphone I've ever owned. I really like the UI where I can customize my theme using Go Launcher EX. Swift Key 4.0 is the best swyping feature to this date. No gripes yet, but really looking forward to the Jelly Bean Premium Suite update. :)
