This is a awesome game when i first started i invited my freinds over and we got hooked to this game. This game is 1 of the best games ever made personoly, and since so many people play the wait time to play online is about 0-30 seconds. I dont know what gaming would be like without this game around. The only bad thing about it has a very high price at all places because its so popular

Sequels can be dissappointing. Halo is one of those series in which every game is better than the previous one. If you are a fan of Halo 1 & 2, you'll love Halo 3. The reason I said it is not what I expected was because the flood played too much of a part in this game. The 'flood levels' were creepy and wierd, but thats just my opinion. In the Halo storyline, Earth is overpopulated, but in the game, Earth is a vast expanse of desert and jungle with a few structures here and there. It would have been great if there were more battles in cities.
Halo 3 is an excellent game. I definetly recommend it to everyone. Everything about it except for the flood is everything you would expect from the pinnacle of the Halo Trilogy.

ok well i read the reviews above mine, but there is one thing i have to say and that is halo 3 is the ABSOLUTE WEAKEST halo game i have ever played, i have been a halo gamer ever since CE was released and was expecting great things. but when i first picked up the game and ran through the campaign i discovered some things...no more BXR glitches, no super bounces, skulls made game slightly harder... online play is usually laggy because microsoft hasnt switched to server hosts so you still have to go through the "black screen", i have multiple videos of where i have beatdown a guy and he just runs away, where i have shot a guy 4 times in the head and he just sits there then i die, the whole combat system is VERY VERY different from halo 2. the glitches made H2 the game it was, by being able to always get better, now its just a "who shot first" type of deal. but i was EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED in bungie for releasing this peice with the name halo on it.
dont get me wrong the storyline was great, but the overall game made me want to break my disc.
if you want a game to play and u dont have live... then pick it up, otherwise prepare to break some stuff in your house because that guy lived when u stuck him :)
What's great about it: well it is fun the first time around....
What's not so great: bungie took out everything that made the game fun to long-term players

As a fun party game this game rocks. I've had many good times playing co-op and multiplayer with my friends. My only advice is don't take this game seriously. As a hardcore game it sucks. It gets boring fast and the many obsessive players take all the fun out of it. I really enjoyed it as a fun party game though. Me and my friends would have all kinds of fun goofing off like driving around in a mongoose just trying to drive over people or killing the hardcore obsessive guys and watching them leave after cussing everyone out. The theater mode and forge are pretty cool and some of the user-created content is actually really good. I would recommend this game to a friend but would warn them not to take it too seriously.
What's great about it: Fun if taken lightly, Co-op, Vehicles
What's not so great: Overhyped, People who take the game too seriously.
