Halo 3 sold how many copies?! That's no suprise... If you've played the first two, you can only imagine how great this one is. Wether you're a hardcore, book-readin' fan or just a weekend warrior, this game has it all. The story has you were you left off, no duh! Crash landing back down to earth to battle the covenant. And of course, good ole' Sargent Johnson is back to kick you into gear if you can't seem to remember which button the R trigger is. The story will keep preoccupied long enough to make your boss wonder if you caught some wierd disease like yellow fever or rhinovirus (Common Cold); leaving you with plenty of time to find all the games hidden skulls and enable the "grunt B-Day party" cheat (Think "Pop Goes The Weasle" and Confetti). The biggest and best new add-on to the game is the 4 player co-op they added. The 2 previous games allowed for only two player split screen co-op. Now, you can play online with your friends and zip through the story getting achievments, lickety split. Any Halo fans who'ce played the first one will recognize that the Assult Rifle is back and yes, it has been modified (Not sure if it's for better or worse). It has a small clip size and is more accurate but, is seemingly less satisfying of a kill. Adding new weapons like a "Spartan Laser" and a "Flamethrower" as well as many new brute weapons and vehicals make the game even more enjoyable. This next upgrade has changed the control scheme dramtically; The X button (Blue Skittle) is no longer used to reload. You push it and an Item is used (Bubble Shield, Radar Jammer, Shield Damage Stuff, etc). To reload you now have to use one of the Xbox 360's handy-dandy bumper triggers. This adds a new element to the multi-player; GOD BERRY KING OF THE JUICE! The Multi-player has one of the best features in next-gen games... Custom Levels Creation (AKA: FORGE). You can delete almost every in game weapons, spawn point and objects by the press of your Y button. Although this adds to being a more diverese set of levels it is also limited by far. Compared to Far Cry's complete terrian and object/spawn/everything else editor, Halo comes up short. But hey, we've lived with it in the first two right? Wrong! At least the first two games had good multi-player maps... HALO 3 HAS NO NEW BLOOD GULCH!!! Well, they do, but It's named differently and is morphed and beaten out of shape. Like me... When you look at "Hang Em' High" in Halo 1 or "Lockout" in Halo 2, as low standerd level design as they were, we loved them. The Halo 3 maps lack a certain something that the first two games had. Nothing shooting stuff can't fix. Many new online party features and a great matchmaking system leave this game smokeing on top of a heaping pile of game goodness.
What's great about it: 15+ Hours of Singleplayer, Rich Story, Music, Online Ranking System, Graphics, Play-a-bility makes it hard to put down
What's not so great: Multiplayer Maps not as Good as 1 and 2

Set right after Halo 2- the story of Halo 3 goes like this: Master Chief crashes in the jungles of Earth, he is rescued, has to get used to the elite's new alliance with humanity, chase the Prophet of Truth through a portal to the Halo rings's control room: the Ark, kill Truth, save Cortana from the Flood leader the Gravemind, and finally blow up the Ark and destroy the Flood. However the game leaves us off at a cliffhanger even more irritatting than Halo 2's. The campaign is fun; but it is only nine levels long and gets boring after the second time playing it. And in a way it rips you off because there are so many instances with the Gravemind that has "boss fight" written all over it, but you never do! It really makes you wonder what Bungie was doing during the whole three years they had to make this. Fortunatly: you can play campaign with your friends over the online magic that is Xbox LIVE, so there is some replay value. The multiplayer is fantastic and twice as strong than the previous two. Plus, there is even a neat little tool called "Forge" in which you can edit objects in any of the multiplayer maps. Objects keep in mind- not the overall layout. There is even a movie making feature called "Theater" in which you replay game data that you already played- and can watch it like a movie, make it a movie, take a screenshot, etc. Its a great game, but the story mode will leave you unsatisfied. But the multiplayer, Forge, and Theater modes greatly make up for it.
What's great about it: What you can do in this game.

The campaign is very fun especially through Xbox LIVE, playing with friends. But the ending left me thinking COME ON! I wont tell you if your buying this game but it upset me. I thought it would end gracefully, but not even close. Now the Xbox LIVE experience. Halo 3 on xbox live is very fun.. at first. You think this is awesome!!! Which it is at times. It still lacks guns, abilities, maps, and some hacking. But it is way faster than Halo 2 and much more fun. I would buy this game but once you play this game then say MW2 you'll see what I mean.
What's great about it: Xbox live, Campaing, Finding Skulls
What's not so great: Lacks abilities in multiplayer
