SOLUTION TO A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM

I bought this case, and like other reviews that I read, the metal ring had fallen off the case while in the package. Upon inspection of the metal ring, I discovered that the double-sided tape, that they use to affix the metal ring to the case, was not completely set in place when it was assembled. You can see in the attached picture that the ring only adhered to the plastic case on the outer edges of the metal ring. I decided that I wanted this system to work for me, so I put a drop of super glue in all 4 corners (see red arrows in picture) of the mounting area and reattached the metal ring to the case. Then I clamped the metal ring to the plastic case paying particular attention to the areas that did not adhere originally (when assembled at the factory). I let it set for 24 hours. I've been using the case without any problems for over a week!! I have it mounted on my desk at work and in my car using the magnetic mounting plates. It definitely is worth the extra little bit of work for this system!

I've had this setup for a couple months now and love it. The magnet is strong and I've never had any issues with the pad falling out. Also, I have very large hands and can use the keyboard without issues. I just ordered one for one of my construction Super. to use in the field.

I use my iPad for everything from a truck GPS to mobile office to remote control for A/V equipment. This case most importantly protects my iPad. But the keyboard helps make my iPad a perfect mobile office, and I mounted the wall mount in my truck to use the iPad as a large GPS. Everything works great, and I love how the case shell focuses the iPad speakers right at my face!
