The Worst Refrigerator Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for just over 5 years and the only good thing I can say about it is that it fits nicely in the (small) space I have. The ice maker production is a joke in terms of how little ice it produces. If we have a party or even large gathering, we have to still purchase bags of ice to keep up. The items on the upper top shelf in the refrigerator section will freeze on the top, regardless of the refrigerator temp setting. And shortly after the warranty expired, we've been dealing with ice formation on the bottom tray under the freezer drawers which causes water to leak out onto the kitchen floor. Approximately once/week I have to lie on the floor and chip out all of the ice from there, only to have it reform over the next 6-7 days and start leaking again, repeating the process over and over. From what limited information I could gather online, it's likely due to some drain tube freezing up with ice but it's beyond my skill level so I will now have to pay for a repair person to fix it, since (surprise, surprise), the warranty is gone. I spoke to a Customer Service rep and she was basically zero help with this issue other than giving me the names of repairman in my area. When we purchased this, we mistakenly thought the LG name stood for quality but I will never purchase another LG product again.

The ice maker on the LFXS24623S makes 2.5 pounds of ice daily when in IcePlus mode. We are sorry to see you are having issues with ice forming and leaking as it melts. Based on the issues you are describing, it sounds like you may need a technician to check it out. This may be done through our website: http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair-us or for a list of service centers in your area: https://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/find-repair-provider If you are in need of any assistance, have additional questions, or would just like to see our helpful tips, check us out on Twitter @LGUSSupport Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSA/ ^CP

Loved it until it suddenly died. "motherboard" went bad and it is NOT covered under the warranty. Can't even order one, eveyone is sold out. What does that tell you? LG wont do anything to make it right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is great and fits in our 35" area. The ice & water through the door is a great feature and keep the door closed so it is more efficient. The freezer keeps the ice cream rock hard so you have more time to enjoy it. I highly recommend this LG product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE brought this and installed in June 12 and it is a nice welcome to our newly remodel kitchen. It is perfect size of smaller size opening, lots of space and shelves
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently bought this refrigerator after realizing our 10 year old Maytag was on it's last leg. The new LG has more cubic feet of storage with the same footprint as our old machine. So far we are enjoying this model with the water and ice access on the outer door versus the ice production inside the freezer compartment, as our old unit had. The door ajar alarm is also appreciated as it is easy to leave the doors slightly open without being aware of it. Overall very pleased with it and also had heard of the high quality LG has become known for. Hope to get many years of trouble free service.
I received this on June 21. The freezer and ice maker work great but the refrigerator is a balmy 60 degrees. We have been without a refrigerator for almost three weeks. I had 3 calls to LG and two to Home Depot. They said it needed 48 hours to get to the right temperature. The HD people finally came out yesterday (July 2) and confirmed that we needed a replacement. Most of our food had to be thrown out. I should have kept the old refrigerator. It was ugly but at least it worked. Never buying another appliance from LG or Home Depot.
Pros: Style/Design
