We have endured many problems with the refrigerator and LG service. The linear compressor is guaranteed to fail, there are no permeate solution other than extended warranty of five year that too is guaranteed to fail. our compressor got so hot it melted the evaporator coil. LG has made promises, but not followed through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the refrigerator a little over three years ago and it just stopped working and I lost all of my food. I had to go without a the refrigerator for over two weeks and since I live in rural Iowa I was unable to rent a refrigerator. The refrigerator was repaired and now works great again but evidently the compressor is known to fail on these units. Really happy with the refrigerator otherwise.
Our refrigerator is less than four years old and has completely failed and is not repairable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the way I could arrange the shelves to handle large food items both in the refrigerator in the freezer. I am glad I got the extended warranty. I did have to have the icemaker in the compressor both repaired. LG handled that beautifully and it is working well now again.
