Love the versatility!

We bought this beautiful refrigerator this summer, and just love having enough space for our groceries. It was a change for us, never having a freezer on the bottom. But I really have so much more space!!

Pleasant Surprise

I am very pleased with my new refrigerator. I've now had it for 2 months and I can honestly say that it does keep my veggies fresh longer than a week. The money I've spent on the fridge is actually money saved on the groceries now that it is kept fresh a lot longer. I know that I definitely got my money's worth.

Great style and design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in July of 2015 and so far I absolutely love this product. I like how it keeps the food very cold and the fruit and vegetable drawers keep the products much longer than any frig I have had. I also like the deli drawer; also keeps my deli items for a longer period of time and is big enough to keep a large deli tray or fruit tray. The door-in-door feature is awesome. Quite an energy saver when grabbing drinks; don't have to open whole frig to get them. The bottom freezer is great. It has a large bottom drawer and a smaller drawer on top so you can store smaller items. The ice cube maker being built into the door is also a great feature; doesn't take up any of your refrigerator space and seems to make the ice very quickly. To be quite honest, there isn't anything that I don't absolutely love!!!

Looks great, door mounted ice maker is a disaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this fridge along with all other LG appliances during a remodel last year. The fridge looks great and keeps things cold.
The attempt at putting ice maker in the door was a horrible idea, for starters it makes the left hand door useless for storing most anything.
Second the ice maker doesn't hold enough ice for more than a couple of glasses
Third, the plastic door/foam seal around the ice chute leaks cold air, resulting in condensation, that drips on the floor.
Fourth, due to the issue above, more often than not the ice melts and then freezes back together, resulting in a giant block of useless ice cubes.
Save yourself the hassle, keep the ice in the freezer.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far meets all our requirements and then some!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are now into our eighth month with our new LG Refrigerator. Not exactly a great time period but worth the review.
After an extensive review of many different manufacturers refrigerators I was convinced that the LG would be the best for our requirements. Our previous refrigerator was a side by side with water and ice distribution on the door. It lasted 18 years. I have been told by various sales people that I should not expect anything near that again. My wife decided that she wanted a "French door with bottom freezer" After reading many reviews I realized that the french door refrigerators all seemed to have problems with the ice maker in the door. Being an engineer this seemed very real to me since the door with the ice maker was part of the refrigerator section and not the freezer. I then decided to look for a refrigerator that had ice and water on the door with a separate second ice maker in the bottom freezer. We mostly used the filtered water on the door and not the ice distributer that often. I found that LG had exactly what I was looking for with a separate turn off switch for the ice maker in the door. After receiving delivery of the refrigerator I immediately turned off the Ice maker in the door and use only the bottom freezer for ice. The bottom freezer makes more ice than we need for just about any occasion,[my wife is from a family of ten siblings and we have very large family gatherings] and we have never had a shortage of ice. We also feel the freezer ice is a better quality than what we had before since it is always loose and never frozen together. The refrigerator and freezer has a very accessible layout for all our needs and is very large capacity giving plenty of room for large storage. So far I highly recommend this refrigerator for anyone looking for large capacity with water distribution in the door and ice making capabilities.

Great Refridgerator
on September 13, 2018

Verified Purchase:Yes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as it was the only one that was narrow enough to fit in the space we had for a refridgerator and wanted a French door with bottom drawer freezor. At first we weren't sure we were happy with the choice as it was so different and trying to get used to where everything was. We has tons more room in the fridge and freezer and it seemed empty at first. Still have plenty of room in the fridge, but we were able to bring in all the food we had in the old fridge we had out in the garage where I also had food in the freezer. We have adapted to this one now and just love it. Also very happy with the ice and water dispenser in the door!!!
