Very bad quality. On the 4th year of having the refrigerator, the compressor stopped working. 2 yrs later it stopped working again and this time I have to pay for labor because it’s out of warranty. They won’t reimburse me. Very disappointing

I purchased this LG refrigerator in November 2016. On July 3, 2023 the compressor died. I expect a refrigerator to last longer than 6 1/2 years. LG comes highly recommended by Consumer Reports but I don't think I will rely on that in the future.

Totally pleased with this product and its features

So much room, great lighting, easy to see all that is inside. Had to retrain a bit but now pretty comfortable. Energy saving and the door in a door feature is very convenient.

It looks sharp with our other stainless steel appliances.
Our previous refrigerator leaked in warm air through the ice portal into the freezer compartment. This caused temperature variations and humidity within the freezer compartment. The ice maker section in the LG is an independent freezer compartment attached inside the door in the refrigerator section. This was the main selling point for us. We no longer have infiltration of air into the freezer compartment.
The shelving is done well and provides a panoramic view of the refrigerator section.
The lower freezer drawer is great for deep freeze. The top drawer is slightly warmer so ice cream will not setup like a rock. Also, the drawers in the refrigerator section provide a choice of being colder in the bottom drawer or closer to the temperature of the refrigerator in the top drawer. Don't get me wrong. This LG holds its temperature well, you just have choices.
We can barely hear it run.
I have not covered everything, but everything about this unit is great!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet, holds temperature, panoramic shelving, ice maker does not allow air infiltration

good features but the left door either slams shut or hits the fold out closer and does not shut unless manually adjusted

Bottom Freezer is the way to go.

The refrigerator's features are excellent. The see through drawers make items easier to find. The ice maker in the door is out of the way and hardly noticeable. The adjustable shelf for tall items is a great addition. The lighting in the unit is bright and perfect. Two freezer drawers and not having to stack things like a side-by-side makes it easier to find items. The door alarm is great when you have kids.

Fridge works great, not so happy about space

Lots of good things about this fridge, but some annoyances too. The door storage is pretty skimpy, so if you keep your gallon jug of milk or cartons of OJ there, you're going to be short of space for condiments. The shelves inside the main compartment are flexible, but it's tricky to get everything set up so that you have enough room for your tall stuff and also space for larger dishes and leftovers. And because it's relatively deep, it's easy for stuff to get lost in the back. I added some bins that I can use for bottles and jars and slide out to get at stuff in the back. I wish the full-width drawer had some kind of adjustable partitions -- it's too easy for stuff to get lost in there. Freezer is great -- very spacious. But it too needs more organization -- one big basket that you have to dig through is not gigantically useful. Surely there must be some sort of clever way to use lift-out/slide across layers of trays to make the space easier to use effectively.

Love the refrigerator, especially the wide drawer in the frig section. Practically noiseless. Only thing that would make it better is a finish which does not show hand and finger prints.
