I had bought a pair of Sony earbuds that were similar in price to these. The Sony earbuds were junk as the wires fell apart after only using them a few times. Exchanged for the same ones and they too fell apart. So I went ahead and bought two pairs of these JVC and they have worked great. I have had them for a while now and still working solidly.

Normally I would balk at paying such a cheap price for earphones. You get what you pay for right? But these earphones perform very well. I use them mainly to play handheld game consoles (DS, 3DS, etc) and the sound, esp the bass, is really good. Recommended if you're looking for a cheap pair of earphones.
