Earbuds hurt my ears after using for a while, so I prefer a traditional headset. But these work great for when the headset is not an option and you need something for short spans. Wires may bend/break easily on earbuds if you are not careful how you store them, but they are so cheap, it is easy to replace them.

Earbud Headphones Okay for $6.99

I am using these earbud headphones only in bed while listening to a radio program. I have the radio set to a 60 minute snooze time. The earbud headphones remain in the ears most of the night because I fall asleep.
The sound quality is okay for speech, that is all I need it for. I am using the earbud headphones since 5 months and the thin plastic insulated wires/cables are getting hard and stiff by now because I suspect they are made from PVC which is losing its softeners. These plastic insulated wires/cables are constantly exposed to body heat and sweat (to some degree). I like to recommend to JVC and all other manufacturers of earbud headphones or any headphones to use Silicone insulation for the wires/cables instead of PVC! For this I gave one star less.
I want to mention one more important feature of any earbud headphones when they are used in bed. They should not stick out too far when inserted in the ear since they would hurt when
putting the cheek/ear on a pillow. These JVC earbud headphones are very good in that respect!
