The look is modern & sleek, performance excellent. A great value. Easier to clean than the outdated conventional cook tops, but still challenging at times. Using the razor, scrubbing pad and glass cooktop cleaner that came with the cook top does bring it back to it's original condition after cooking, but is still a bit of a process.
Not a deterrent though. I would recommend this model.

Frustrating to cook on

Sadly, I had anticipated this would be a fabulous addition to our kitchen, and easier to clean than our previous GE cooktop that had knobs. What I have found is that if you’re cooking several things at once it’s very easy, just by sliding one of the pans over a little too far, to either shut off or turn on another burner. The lock only works to lock the cooktop in OFF position. You cannot lock it on. When I have a big pot on the stove such as a big pot of soup that is difficult to lift, Just by sliding it a bit I can inadvertently turn off the heat or turn on the heat on a burner I’m not even using. Definitely not a fan of this cooktop. My husband likes to use the griddle function when he makes breakfast. He also dislikes how easy it is to turn off the burners inadvertently. He actually asked me to look for another one with knobs. The reason we replaced the one with knobs was because one knob could be easily tapped and turned on accidentally and we were afraid we would cause a fire.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This 30” Cooktop is nice looking with a lock feature so when cleaning you don’t accidentally turn it on.
It heats up very quickly and is easy to use.

Has most of the features that we were looking for with easy to understand touch controls. Was fairly easy to install and fit into exsisting opening okay after drawer modifications.
