Poor visibility of controls and burners.

The picture of this product is very misleading. The printer controls and burner locations are dark gray on a black surface. Unless I turn on the light directly above the cooktop you cannot see them. I’m sorry I did not research this better. There is only one large burner. There are two small burners that can be synced for a griddle. I was into much of a hurry to replace a GE profile cooktop after it got fried from power outage. There is a timer in the cooktop which is nice. The burners heat up fast and seem to be hotter than my old ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros: Looks very nice, lots of power for cooking, good features.
Cons: Labels are very hard to read, burners turn on while cleaning cooktop. Must lock it to prevent inadvertant turn-ons.

As an older person with eyesight issues, I wish the info on the stovetop was easier to read so I wouldn't keep touching the wrong icon. Guess I prefer knobs. Also, the stovetop is very touchy and beeps anytime something is set on top of it (like a plate for instance) even when it is off and locked.

I would like to be able to lock out each individual eye instead too. It makes it difficult when you move things on the stove top while you are cooking because they are so easily turned on.

Disappointed in this cooktop. The placement of the largest burner in the middle of the right hand side of the stove is inconveniently placed. The controls on the front are constantly turning off on their own if you place your hand or another pan near the controls while placing on a different burner. Heat elements seem inconsistent. Impossible to keep clean and it shows every smudge. Would not buy this again. We had a GE Profile cooktop prior to this for 15 or more years and loved it.

Easy to clean and heats up quickly!

I love my new cooktop! Besides looking beautiful, it heats up quickly and is easy to clean. I like the ‘lock’ button for cleaning up and when it’s not in use.
