We just replaced a 20+ year old coil type cook top and while this is taking a little getting used to, the clean lines are a pleasure as is the way it works...old cook top was out of kilter and I can finally cook on a flat surface. So glad we chose this one. The lines are very clean.

I had to replace my current General Electric Profile cook top which I absolutely loved. The replacement was just as good as my original Cook Top.

The controls are a mess.

While the heating elements themselves are efficient, the controls are terrible. Controls are hard to see, they should be backlit at minimum. They are unreliable, a piece of food dropped on them, a hot pot passed over them, or a casual swipe of your hand can alter settings or turn them on or off. You have to lock the controls after every use or cleaning the surface or placing items on the stove can energize a burner. I do not recommend buying this appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While I love the GE Cooktop, I am most disappointed that the 4 burner Cooktop with two larger burners and two smaller burners is no longer available.

Needs clean up right after cooking and use the recommended cleaner. Cleans up easily.I like the digital number selection for the heat intensity. Very pleased.

This GE cooktop was a great value for the included features and in comparison to other cooktops with the same features. I really like the stainless steel around the top and bottom; I wish it was also along the sides. The only thing I don’t like is that it is hard to see the controls when the cooktop is not on!
