can not see controls.

The black is so dense that the controls can only be seen with the ceiling light on.is unattractive without a trim, preferably stainless steel. It also is difficult to clean, and streaks easily. Should never have bought it on line, without viewing it in person. Sorry I bought it, and would return it, and purchase a different model. unfortunately they do not accept return of appliances. Bad BUY.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as good as the previous model

We purchased this unit to replace the previous model as one of the burners had failed and was no longer available. We liked the old unit, which had 4 similar burners but in a squarer layout with controls on RHS. It was installed in a custom granite counter-top and was used every day.
I thought the revised layout would be an improvement, but in fact there is less room when 3 or 4 pans are being used, as the top and bottom of the cooktop are not used for the burners. When not in use, we use the cooktop for dish preparation, but the controls beep regularly as if in protest. Also on one such occasion the front left burner came on full heat, which could have been a serious problem if I had not spotted it immediately. Also I do not like the fact that when the burner is turned on it either goes to HIGH or LOW, whereas the old unit always started at a 5, which is what I usually wanted. Just not that impressed with the new unit and its features.

Works fine, but . . .

Cooktop works fine. Looks nice. However, the layout of the burner controls is different from the physical layout of the burners and the two should match. It would also be nice if there was an indicator next to each burner when it is hot after turning it off, not one indicator for all the burners.
I would recommend this to a friend!
