Used the unit for 1 month. The controls are easily used - right in front and touch pads have ideal sensitivity. This unit replaced our old cooktop which had broken glass. In the end, the new cooktop cost slightly more than replacing the glass on the old unit. I do wish the larger burner was 10" instead of 9". We use a large canning pot frequently and desire more heating area. Also, the scyned burners don't have the heat unit between the circles as our old unit did. Therefore, they don't provide as much even heat that you are looking for. In comparison, the burner sizes don't offer much option - two 7" burner, one 6", and a 6-9". I would have designed it myself with the burners further apart to allow more space when using multiple pans.
I like the product. It looks very attractive in our stone countertop. Haven't spilled or burned anything on the cooktop yet, and cleaning hasn't been an issue. The price met our budget.

Cooktop is quickfire!

The most impressive part of my cooktop is how quickly it heats up. My old was was a slow burn for sure! Now I can count on the water boiling quicker and the whole meal being easier to have ready at one time.

I purchased this unit to replace my original cooktop and love the features. The touch controls are so much better than the knobs on the original unit and cleanup is so much better. The synch control for the two left side burners is great for cooking with large pots.

Good cooktop

I'm pleased with this cooktop. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there seems to be inconsistent heat between the two burners which can be synchronized for grill/ griddle use. I also don't understand why GE couldn't have given the controls another digit for more exact heat control instead of limiting heat control to 1-9. The timer could also use another digit.
Over all this is a very good cooktop for and I would recommend it.

Great unit!

My old unit was 10 years old and finally gave out. I ordered this to replace it and so far I love it. It has a lock function so the touch controls wont go off when cleaning it. It has a double hear function on one of the elements that will cook or boil in less than a minute.
I would recommend this to a friend!
