Stovetop evaluation

I have purchased this product several months ago, and we are VERY disappointed with it, especially the engineering design. Three things: 1) The 4 burners are poorly placed on the stove top, especially making the large back burner hard to reach. 2) The controls in the front of the stovetop are very difficult to read without a light directly shining upon them. The colored printing under the subsurface should be printed much darker. 3) The controls are complicated to use, turn off and on, adjust the heat, etc. The burner thermostats are inconsistent. This is not the quality of product I would expect from GE!

Poor Placement of Burners

I am really disappointed with my cooktop. The placement of the burners is really impractical. Two burners on the left are so close together you cannot have an 8" pan on each and still center them on the burner. There is no way to have 3 pans cooking on the top. I feel I wasted my money and now I'm stuck with this very expensive purchase.

The cooktop is beautiful to look at. Love the fact of not having to clean around knobs. Easy to clean. So glad we purchased this model.

Not so great !

I bought this cook top and within a few weeks had a chip on the glass ! Than I started to notice several scratches. Tried to polish them out with cook top cleaner but that didn't work, I also used the magic eraser and that did nothing . Tried to clean the cook top but all it does is smears no matter what type of cleaner I use. So now I have a cook top that is chipped, scratched and always smeary ! The burner off and on are difficult to see !

I love everything about this top except the glass. I have not used it a lot and already have more scratches than the one I had for ten years. Everything else is great.

No knobs means 'easier to clean'

We have had this cooktop for about a month. I installed it myself, and it was pretty easy to do. I really like it because of the 'touch' controls, and the absence of the traditional knobs makes clean-up much faster and easier than cooktops with traditional knobs. I have no reservations in recommending this cooktop.

I bought this in November as I replaced all of the appliances. I only needed a basic cooktop. This has ability to lock burners and use griddle on two burners on left. There is a third large burner. A nice feature is the timer for the burners. Cleans up nicely with cooktop cleaner.
