Great picture; Great Value

This unit replaced a 50 inch plasma and there is no comparison. Much better picture and sound plus it weighs only about a third as much. Highly recommended.

Great all around TV

This TV is easy to set up. Overall, it has a great picture and pretty good sound. For those looking for a TV to watch regular television shows, you can not go wrong. For fans of movies, add external speakers. The TV has an optical digital audio output so I purchased a sound bar.
Pros: easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

but surprise, surprise the LED back lighting went out 1 year and 2 months after purchase. Just out of warranty. I've now had 2 LG TV's die due to hardware problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Model Number 47LN5400 - Manufactured Sep 2013 - S/N 309RMBWD0453 - Died 29 January 2016. Has sound - picture has left the building. Can't believe such a highly rated item would go belly up in such a short period of time. The TV went directly from its box to the tv stand - never bumped, dropped, or jostled. Will NEVER own another LG product if this is an indication of LG quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the TV until backlight issues. I’ve had different LED strips replaced 3x’s already over the last year & now there is another out. I refuse to pay to have it fixed again as the money spent already could’ve purchased a new one. LG do you have a buy back program for this model??? Clearly there was a defect. I was given another LG as a gift from my job last month. I’m praying I don’t have the same issues. That would be tragic!!
