Do not buy this TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our TV lasted for a little over 2 years and then one day the screen went black. The speakers still work but no picture. Please do not buy this TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV 2 years ago and I was in the middle of watching a program and poof black screen and sound only, I thought that I was buying a quality brand and in reading the reviews listed on this model I can see that this is a consistent issue there for obvious defective part of some type in this particular model

Reliable brand, great model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this tv since 2014 and have never had any problems with it. I upgraded the sound through an LG sound bar, but other than that everything is original and working the same as the day I took it out of the box. The only part I am disappointed with is that Sling TV is not available on it. Since purchasing this tv I have actually purchased 2 more LG tv's for different rooms because of their reliability and dependability.
Pros: Performance, Quality

Nice color when working

I purchased LG 47ln5400 in June 2013. A couple of months after purchasing it, it had to be repaired. The HDMI went bad. Now 17 months later, I have sound but no picture. Had the one board replaced and it wasn't that. I would not recommend this product if you have to replace it in less than 2 years.

Led backlight went bad after 2 years

Thought it was a great tv until one day it just went black. Three out of the six rows of LEDs went out. I don't even watch that much tv. I won't buy LG again.
