Audio Out problem

This is a good quality set. Everything works well, except the audio out. This is the ONLY reason for the three star rating. The only audio output is Digital Optical. The internal speakers are pretty limited with their sound since they are mounted on the bottom and pointing down. If you want to add a soundbar, it makes a world of difference in the sound. That's where the problem comes in with the Digital Optical audio out. The manual states that, "Audio with ACP (Audio Copy Protection) function may block digital audio output." Apparently all broadcast TV stations use ACP because when I try to watch TV stations, there is no sound through my soundbar. The soundbar works great when I am watching dvd's or using the tuner on my dvd player instead of the TV tuner. To me, this is a major limitation in this TV and a great disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this t.v. picture is amazing and the fast action refresh rate makes games so much more smooth, beautiful white and blacks, incredible contrast ratio, good t.v when you cant spend a whole lot lol

Keeps changing channels on it's own

For the first year we loved this tv. One month before the warranty would have been up the tv started changing volumn and channels by itself. Our local LG repair person fixed it. Now one year later it is happening all over again.
If it were not for the one problem I would be able to give this a 5 star review. I can't recommend it because we keep having to have this same problem fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While not tech savy, I finally figured how to get the tv to work. It was worth the effort, I am truly satisfied with LG. Keep up the good work. The tv is fantastic.

Died after 1 year of use.

The only reason I gave this TV 2 stars instead of 1 is because when it worked, it was excellent. The picture quality and sound were excellent. Today, 3 days before the warranty expiration, the picture died. Luckily, it will likely be covered, however I don't think that I will buy another LG product. A TV should last more than a year.
