Very bad quality, No long run life

Bought this humidifier beginning of 2016 for my small bedroom and used it for few days during Jan-Feb and it worked fine. Then kept it away for summer and fall and then when I again opened it for Winter during Nov 2016 it worked for few days and one night the tank cracked itself and all the water overflowed wetting the carpet floor and the cabinet under it. I was very careful to not lift the water tank with the handle when it was full. The quality of the tank build is very bad. And for the spare tank you will have to pay additional 20 dollars.
