We only had it for less than a month but so far so good. We chose it because of the food showcase and of course the energy efficiency. When the delivery guy installed it, there was an error coming up on the screen and said that's the first time he encountered that code error and shouldn't be doing that. We had to call customer care and instructed us to just restore the setting. Other than that, it's all good and hopefully this refrigerator will last long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have grown to enjoy Samsung's products, so when it was time for a new refrigerator, I did my home work and bought a Samsung. This model had everything I wanted in my kitchen, and none of what I didn't want. The ice maker and water dispensers work well, the showcase door is great, I don't have to let all the cold air out to grab a beverage. The surprise was that after I got it installed I learned that it had "SMART" features that I hadn't expected.
Everything is easy to use and understand, without all of the technical double talk that you can get reading an owners manual!

I bought this fridge and loved it. the Showcase is awesome and I love the shelf that flips up for more room. However at 1 year and 1/2 the ice maker broke. Now after a year of trying to get it fixed the repair person has said there is nothing they can do. So I have a refrigerator that is 2 1/2 year that the ice maker does not work. So upsetting to say the least. The repair man also told me that they see this a lot in Samsung refrigerators. Samsung you might want to change the design of your ice makers. It sucks that I have to have a countertop ice maker which takes up space in my already small kitchen. Frustrating because I have all Samsung products in my kitchen.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality

The worst refrigerator ever!!!!!!

I purchased this refrigerator two years ago and within the first year the ice maker stopped working. It was still under the one year warranty, so Samsung sent someone out to repair it. Now here we are two years and two months later and this refrigerator has completely stop work. It will not hold a temperature. I had a service repair service come and try to repair it. To no avail. All the inside panels were replaced but this still did not fix the issue. When I called Samsung the representative informed my warranty is up and there is nothing they can do help. This is very disheartening considering the price I paid for the refrigerator and the fact it only lasted a little over two years. I'm very disappointed in the durability and quality of the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid performer after 6 mos of ownership

Have had this refrigerator for over 6 months now and have enjoyed it. It is quiet when running, and seems to be efficiently operating. The only caution item is the ice capacity is quite small so if you entertain a lot and have more than a half-dozen guests you will want to have additional ice trays in the freezer. Wasn't sure of what to make of the door within door "feature" but after living with it for 6 months it is quite convenient to retrieve frequently used items such as milk/juice and condiments without opening up the main door. Interior of freezer and refrigerator are well lit and flexibility of shelf configuration has been satisfactory for our use. We just recently replaced the water filter so expect that 6-7 months of use is about all you will get. Will follow-up this review once we've had for 18 months.
Pros: Bright display, door-in-door
Cons: ice-making capacity

Nice Fridge

We had a much larger Samsung and had to downsize to the counter depth model for our new kitchen. While it's hard to adjust down, this fridge is much the same configuration as our old one, so that makes it a little better. We really like the lighting within the fridge and the front interface for water and ice is easy to use and understand. The only thing that's a little odd is the subtle noises that the fridge makes. I think it may be when it's filling the ice trays or something. You hear a little hum or something. Other than that, we like the fridge.
