Lasted 17 months....

Purchased August 2015. Worked fine until last week. Central seal leak. Makes more sense to replace the whole unit than repair. Lasted just beyond warranty. Sad.

The washer weighs the clothes and adds water it thinks it needs. Not working for me. Clothes are still dirty.

Poorly designed lint catch
on January 13, 2018

The lint catch for this unit is not well designed. It leaks a fair amount of lint into the vent on the door panel below so when you are removing your clothes some of the leaked lint gets on them. Additionally, when you remove the plastic lint catch grill to clean it lint goes everywhere- and the metal mesh catch sometimes just falls out since it doesn't snap into place. This is just bad design. At the very least GE should issue a rubber gasket that goes around the back of the metal mesh catch to prevent the considerable amount of lint leaked. Until GE issues a fix for this avoid purchasing this unit.

This unit's washer frequently does not supply sufficient water to cover the clothes - especially in smaller loads.

Very Noisy!

I just had this unitized washer/dryer installed two days ago. When I started a small load in delicate cycle, it sounded like there was something stuck inside the washer drum. Shipping rod was removed so that was not the problem. I am very unhappy with this purchase and waiting for retail store to help me get technician to check it out.

Bought this unitized washer dryer at Home Depot. The reviews look really good. Not sure if there is something wrong with our brand new unit but it is very noisy and make strange noises during wash cycle

Love it!

I needed a new washer/dryer combo to fit in a small space. This one is perfect! And it is so quiet compared to the 80's model I inherited.
I would recommend this to a friend!

2 1/2 years then no more
on November 7, 2019

The last stackable unit we had lasted 10 years, so it’s very disappointing we only got 2 1/2 years out of this. The GE repairman said the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The cost of parts and labor were far too expensive. We are moving on GE, best of luck.
