Great performance

Bought this March 2015 so far works great! Fit more in washer than thought as it is deep...little noisy on the spin but nothing can't live with...washes clothes very well....gas dryer dries fast!
I would recommend this to a friend!

My GE Spacemaker Gas Laundry Center

I have replaced the "High Efficiency" one by this unit and I am glad I did. I love it. Great features, and ..... IT WORKS! IT CLEANS! and IT DRIES .... :)

Good for a Budget

We bought this with our house 2.5 years ago. The wash cycle is great and quick. They dryer however takes much longer than the 90 minutes that the dial goest up to. It's more like a 2 hour dryer cycle, especially for loads with as much as 1 towel in them. Today my washer broke. 1.5 years out of warranty. But the GE site made it very easy to schedule an appointment online for service. We can have someone out here to service it as soon as tomorrow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Acting strangely

I wish it had better instructions and an idea of how long each cycle takes. In GE's attempt to be helpful, it seems they've tried to help you with guess work but at the cost of the end user not knowing what the machine is doing or how long it will take to complete (there is no digital LCD or on the wash cycles any indication of how far along you might be). As well, mine is acting weird. Once I hit start, it will begin to fill the tub... then I come back to realize it has stopped filling the tub. I hit START again and this time it completes the cycle. Happens every time. Yes, I'm going to call them about it. Good sized unit and I'm going to guess they'll fix anything that's broken so yes, it's a recommend. In hindsight I may NOT have gotten the gas unit- even on the lowest setting my clothes are parched.
