The model mostly works, however sometimes it will go into extended rinse cycle and i'll have to manually hit start/stop for it to finish rinsing and spin.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first one lasted 20 years!

Love the GE Spacemaker laundry center. This is my second one. The first one just stopped after 20 Years. So quiet and does a great job really cleaning the clothes.

I am waiting for the 3rd stack washer/dryer GUD27 to be shipped to my local appliance store. The 2 previous washers had sharp plastic burrs where the holes were drilled in the basket!! My appliance store has contacted the factory to ask them to inspect the unit before shipping, we'll see. This defect ruined a brand new set of egyptian cotton sheets as well as put a whole in one of my shirts before I felt the inside of the washer basket and discovered the very large burrs. Living in a small cottage I am forced to buy a stack unit and this one had the best reviews. I am disappointed and can only hope the 3rd one will not be defective. The jury is still out so I will rate this product when I receive the 3rd and final washer/dryer.

Nice but dryer makes so much noise

Washer works well but dryer is noisy and cannot use it all the time because of this

Pluses: Good quality product for the money. Lots of features for a small unit. Washer and dryer both have a large capacity for the size. Fairly new so cannot rate longevity. Minus: When lid is locked, there is no way to release it ... so IF something gets stuck, there is no override to release the lid ... could be a potential problem down the road.
I would recommend this to a friend!
