Died from heat exposure

Worked great for a while, but first the bracket cracked and the snaking post fell off. No problem; a little gorilla glue fixed that.
Then the adjuster ratchet started to be a problem. I had to manually force in open then squeeze it to fit my phone.
It finally died totally when it fell off the windshield leaving the gel suction cup behind.
Granted it does get HOT in South Texas, but the plastic should be tested to handle all conditions.
Back to shopping for a new phone holder.
PS It did last 3 years.
