Really holds up solid to glass and stays in place

Suction is strong and holds well to glass....it will drop if glass gets really cold, but only if you push it. Phone stays in place and is great for GPS...right off the steering wheel and easy to see without getting in the way. I've used three now, and this one holds up the best and can easily be positioned.....

Does the Job

Overall this product does what it advertises. I have a small car so the arm is much longer than I need but could be adjusted. The grip holds the receiver well and the suction cup holds to the winshield firmly.
What's great about it: Grip fits well for a univeral product
What's not so great: The arm is too long for my small car but still works fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Device shakes while driving and other issues

I have 3 problems with this product. It is useable - with some workarounds - but I would suggest looking elsewhere before settling for this.
1st: Because of the 1 ft. of distance between the device and the suction cup for the window, the device will vibrate when the car is moving. Since I didn't want it to vibrate, I adjusted the holder to rest on the dash, but now I am concerned about potential wear marks on the dash. None are showing up, but I have only owned it for a week.
2nd: The phone for which I bought the holder (HTC Thunderbolt) has its charger socket right where the the holder grips it. I can still use the charger while it is in the holder, but I cannot use the foldout supports that are part of the holder's design.
3rd: The suction cup for the device seems a little weak. I have had the holder fall off the window 2 times while driving. But the last time I attached it to the window was 5 days ago, so it seems have a lasting seal this time.
Bottom line: Look around, and if nothing else works, this will do the job... just not perfectly.
What's great about it: Functional, if you are in a bind.
What's not so great: It has to rest on the dash to not shake.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheap Junk

Just bought this. It seemed to be reasonably priced. When I got home and opened it, you could feel just how incredibly cheaply it was made--this is the sort of thing you'd expect to find in a $5 bin.
There's a little ratcheting mechanism that's supposed to open the mount to accomodate wider devices, but even brand new this mechanism does not work 90% of the time. Assuming you can even get it to open wide, it then does not close with any sort of force, making it feel like it will not hold anything safely in place.
I'm planning to return this immediately. Unfortunately, it appeared to be one of the only universal mounts, and the only other model looked even cheaper.
What's great about it: Lower cost than other mounts.
What's not so great: Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good product, still holding strong...

When I first got this product, I swear to you, I could not get the thing to stay on my window, with the slightest turn of the 360' portion it would come crashing down. And to be honest I am not sure if it was because it was really warm out then or if it was my lack of spit I put on the suction cup (pardon my grossness, but truly since adding the spit, it has never fallen yet) . So I say, add some spit, and this should work just fine! I haven't had any issues with the grippers losing strength, and would recomend this product to a friend or family member and not feel bad about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
