The bracket was almost unusable

I give this 2 stars because the bracket release would not actually release my phone. The arm and suction cup were first rate. The problem with this product for me was that the release button didn't even make easy to push the bracket apart so that I could take my phone in and out.
Last, I recommend making sure that with this bracket you can get to all of your device buttons. They covered up my side-buttons and made it hard to get to the volume rocker.

I bought this for my husband to put his XM radio reciever on because he snapped one of the clips that came with the original car kit .
It is fantastic !!
It is easy to use, just snap it together & adjust the swivel head to the direction you want to use it. Suction it to your window in a place out of your way & then place whatever appliance you need it for in & squeeze it till it is holding it firmly. To take it off you just push a single lever & it ratchets open & your appliance comes right out ! I Love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works.... But if while your underway you hit your phone it will pop out. I don't think this would be a problem in a car but I use mine in the boat. It does have a nice strong suction and it is very flexible in different situations.
What's great about it: it works
What's not so great: you can hit your phone when craddled and it will pop out.

When you search a universal windshield mount you better expect a universal windshield mount. I tried another universal windshield mount brands personally which was Dynex, but it did not really do what it was advertised to do. This was exactly the item I was looking for. The installation is really easy. It does really do a 360 degree rotation to have you device held in multiple positions. In one of the pictures there is a little plastic part that comes up and that opens up clamp and you can easily push it close together to securely lock it in place. I drove continuously for 3 hours, and along some bumpy roads, it actually held the device in place. The pictures are a bit deceiving because you think the arm is very rigid, but it is actually very flexible. I also put my car out a lot and even among the heat and direct sun the suction cup still holds on. The only complaint I have is that sometime it squeaks possibly due to the flexible arm and suction cup, but other than that, it is a great product.
What's great about it: A truly universal windshield mount for your electronic devices
What's not so great: Kind of makes squeaky noises
I would recommend this to a friend!
