Considering that Android Wear is in it's infancy, This is a great smart watch !!

Out of all the other smart watches made by Samsung, and other brands, the smart choice (in my opinion) is to buy one that runs android wear. This is going to be the platform that smart watches will all be built on. There is plenty of room for growth on the Samsung Gear Live watch, for Android Wear developers to do their magic, and they will.
You don't have to listen to me, but I usually know what I am talking about, which is why I choose the Gear Live out of all the other watches. Number one. I trust Samsung, number two, I believe in Android Wear. What more is there to consider?
Developers are designing GUI dashboards as we speak, that will make the Gear Live more and more intuitive for all the wonderful daily tasks that you would have the watch perform for you.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, pleasing design
Cons: battery life needs improvement.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn't meet my expectations

There is no speaker on this device, and I didn't know it until I purchased it, and then started using it. It is not as useful because of it, and is certainly not suitable for use while driving--unlike Samsung's other smart watches which are safer because they allow for voice-only interaction.
The watch does not automatically unlock my phone.
The heart-rate monitor works, but not while I am exercising.
Battery life is good enough, but I charge it every night with my phone so I don't notice any problems.
The straps are nice enough, but they squeak sometimes. I'm happy with them though.
It's more of a toy than any other Samsung device I've ever purchased. I'd only recommend it to a friend who is a tech enthusiast, but not to the average person.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no built-in speaker, no auto-unlock, unreliable heart rate monitor

Falls apart.

I purchased this on day one. Within the first month, one of the retention tabs on the charging dock broke off. Now the tiny pins that hold the clasp on the end of band have fallen out, and the clasp has fallen off of the watch entirely.
This is despite my being very gentle with the watch. There is not a scratch on it.
The android Wear software does a good job of giving me notifications. I actually like the minimal functions.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I checked out the product by downloading the owners manual. The owners manual showed a speaker. When I got the product it had no speaker. I wanted to use this watch as a hands free addition when driving. Since it did not have a speaker it was awkward using without. The look is great, battery is a little better than expected, and Android Wear is growing everyday. If it would have had a speaker I would have kept the watch.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, water and dust repellant, elligant looking, android wear
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no speaker
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my Gear Live. Only wish charging had better options than needing an adapter.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight

no speaker!

Im a college kid that works a job as a delivery person, so i figured this would be a cool way to have handsfree calling while driving. I was wrong. I've been looking at the galaxy gears since the first one came out and just now came up with the money to by one. I got home took it out and connected it and it was really cool for abput five minutes until i tested out the hansfree calling. It was then that i realized there was no speaker. I will be returning to get the gear 2 neo which has a speaker.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: no speaker
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi. I have a gear fit . Now I take a gear live. But seem gear fit is better. For these reasons
1.gear live have not a fabric media controller like gear fit.
2.i can not read incoming message and title of sender in gear live . In gear live only show count of messages.
But gear fit show me feature and sender of incomming message.
3. Gear live have not a fabric emergency message like gear fit.
4.i need a app for gear live like (quick setting) in gear fit. But I have not found like that in google play.

Don't buy this product...unless you change the Wrist Band for the one used on the Gear2.

The watch is excellent...Better then the Gear 2. .but the problem is the Wrist band designed for it. I lost mine when I was in a trip. I knew it was going to happen. Because the band its' very lose and it's design its terrible made. I'm very upset that the watch fall down from my wrist because of this bad feature and I even didn't feel when I lost it. Was a pretty new watch.
So...Why to buy this watch? With this terrible flaw. Unless you buy another wrist band from the model Gear. That's going to work.
Of course I already bought another Gear Live watch...but I'm using it with the wrist band from the model Gear 2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
