this product works well it has some nice features like charges your ipod and sends the music to my car stereo which is a factory. when i first hooked it up it got ok sound but i wanted to see if one of the other reviewers wrote would work and it did now i tune it to 87.9 and the sound is clear with no interference. oyu can also adjust if you are sending a mono or stereo signal to the car radio either one works good when put in international mode if you keep in us then you may want to switch to mono. overall very good product for the money caught mine on sale so it was a very good price.
What's great about it: good price for the money charges battery and sends my music to car radio
What's not so great: had to change to international to work which makes smartscan useless

When I started using this product, I was actually very suprised at the sound quality. Its such a small transmitter for how effective it is. It's very simple. I've never used another again. It sounds just about as good as directly connecting. Well, as close as you can get. If you are deciding between this and another, just do yourself a favor and try this one out. *RECOMMEND*
What's great about it: Charges iPod, fantastic sound, Easy to pick up a good signal.

This FM transmitter seems to work well a lot of the time, but on some days there is persistent static. I can't tell if it's radio interference or what, but it's annoying. This may also happen with other FM transmitters - I don't really know since this is the only one I've owned.
It is really easy to use. It also has a scanner function that finds the best available tuning locations which is a nice feature. Overall though for the price and quality I'd keep looking. If the price was 50% less, it might be worth it.
What's great about it: Easy setup, just plug and play
What's not so great: Sound clarity isn't great. Get a lot of static and interference.

LOVE IT..... Use it when traveling, and tired of same old CD's, or Radio Radio is seriously in Want here in Montana... It works well, seems to be well built. All connections fit tight, and feel very solid. Tuning screen has large, easy to read numbers. although I would recommend setting it b4 your moving.. Great Purchase.
What's great about it: Works Like a Charm, Produces a Good Radius of Signal, can AutoTune to a Clean Channel
What's not so great: Ummmm..... Cant navigate Ipod from its controls.. but thats no big deal

I drive 5 hours from Cincinnati to Lansing, MI about once a month and nothing makes the drive seem longer than sucky music. So I bought this hoping that it would work and make my long drive more enjoyable. A lot of the reviews weren't good on this product, but I thought I'd try it for myself. And I LOVE it! On a 5 hour drive, I have to change the frequency because of static only 3 times. And changing the frequency can't be simpler. SO easy. And I love that when you turn off your car, it turns your ipod off too! Nothing's worse than getting back to your car and seeing that your ipod was on the whole time draining the battery.
My only problem with it is my car only has one cigarette lighter. And on such a long drive, I need my GPS too…which ALSO needs to be plugged into the cigarette lighter. (I felt so dumb once I realized this) So that was a little awkward, but it’s doable because most of the time I knew where I was going and didn’t need the GPS so I only turned it on once or twice. The rest of the time I was jammin on my IPOD with NO static!
I’ve used it a few times during my normal commute around Cinci, but my drive is never over 10 minutes so I usually don’t bother with it. The times I have used it I have not had any static problems. I’m not sure why other people gave it such bad reviews because I find this product to be simple, affordable, and works great!
What's great about it: Great for long distance trips, easy to work, decent price
What's not so great: Has static zones, but easily fixed by changing frequency.

I bought this product about 9 months ago and till now it has been working good. There was a little static coming through with my music but nothing i couldnt handle. Then the cord started to separate from the connector and so i taped it back. It kept coming undone and now the cord is completely ripped leaving the wires open. The product no longer works, after 9 months, because of the cord only. Overall this is a good product to buy and is very convenient
What's great about it: easy set up, has on/off switch, long cord
What's not so great: static is still heard, cord durability

I read other reviews and I knew that it doesn’t work well in the city. I don’t live in the city but I’m close enough to pick up the stations. I didn’t realize how crowded our airwaves are until I bought this. Saying that the unit works better than I expected and it over power some stations a higher frequencies. At lower frequencies, I have poor reception even if there is no station on that frequency. Let’s face it you’re not going to get CD quality sound from this unit but you will get radio quality at higher frequencies in the country. The sound quality gets worse from there.
What's great about it: It’s compact. It works well outside the city.
What's not so great: The auto scan function is worthless.
