I purchased this unit to listen to my IPOD in the company truck without having to install ANY equipment in the truck. I enjoy the wonderful music through the factory truck speakers, while traveling between jobs. This unit works very well and I would recommend it to anyone.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, no installed extras

This is a great idea - listen to your ipod in your car by just plugging this in. Problem is that you need to find a station wiht static (& preferrably with static on either side of it). Every 2 feet you drive, though, your itunes get replaced by static, radio talk, etc. I returned mine for credit. Thankfully, Best Buy was great about letting me return it. It's much less frustrating to bring my altic lansing in motion in the car & play it that way.
What's great about it: Would be great if it actually worked
What's not so great: spotty reception at best. terrible

This was my first iPod FM transmitter and I'm overall very pleased with it. I like that it searches for the clearest 3 stations, but sometimes you just can't avoid a bit of static (like in areas with many radio stations). The long cord is nice because people in the back seat can select songs, but when I'm by myself, my iPod slides around since I just leave it on my seat or in the cup holder. I guess that this is the best that's out there right now.

I had a another kind of FM transmitter/charger for my ipod but it had so much static over the radio and it broke down in just 1 year. So I bought the Griffin Itrip, this one was good no static, very clear sound, the settings were easy to do and it was small. i would totally recommend this to my friends.
What's great about it: no static over the radio, easy settings

Well, My second ITrip Auto FM Transmitter just broke on me. That is the second one that broke in the last 6 months. The first time, the cable at the dock connector somehow came apart from the connector and stopped transmitting, but would still charge. This time, it just plain stopped transmitting, but still charges. Another thing I noticed is that the transmission is muffled when the transmitter is really cold (don't know if this is just a flaw with all FM transmitters, or just this one).
On the bright side, when it works, it works well. The signal is clear and static free, for the most part. One of the reasons I bought it is because it transmits on the FM 87.9 frequency, which is the least used FM frequency in the country, from what I hear. Also, the ability to charge the Ipod while using the FM transmitter was another big reason I went with this mode.
Overall, a good FM transmitter when it is working. If you plan on exclusively using the FM transmitter in a car, this is the right model, but beware, they don't seem to have a long life.
What's great about it: Good Reception, Charges Ipod, Transmits to 87.9 FM

I looked for a long time to find a fm transmitter that charged and didn't have a docking station. For some cars like those docking stations don't really fit and I heard can break easily. This transmitter has it all, my friend loved the gift and uses it all of the time.

The radio in my car is not-so-hot, and I would often get annoyed with the static it produced. Since I got this for Christmas, I haven't had to deal with the static. This product is extremely easy to use, and it works great. Not only is the sound quality pleasing, it charges your ipod, so it's perfect for long distance trips. I would recommend it to anyone!

For the most part, this little gadget is pretty handy. It's easy to find the frequency using the little button, and the sound is usually pretty good. It does sometimes sound a little hollow compared to listening to a CD, and I've found that I usually have to turn the volume up higher than I would with a CD, but it's still pretty clear. The cord is a great length, letting you put the iPod on your dashboard or on the passenger seat. The only bad thing that I've found is that it tends to get static interference, especially in the city. I've found that it gets the most when stopped in one place, such as for red lights. Overall, if you are looking for something to play your iPod with in the car, this is a great little product, easy to store, easy to use.
What's great about it: Easy to use, pretty good sound, geat cord length
