The 5th Element is a creative action movie. There is a love interest, some comedy, and action. I enjoyed the film, but I can't say that owning it is worth it. I received the dvd as a gift, and I watched it, enjoyed it, and I have never felt the urge to watch it again. The movie felt kinda cheesy, which can be expected for science fiction/comedy/action movies I guess.
I do recommend renting it, and if you end up liking it a lot more than I did, well then, go and buy it for your collection.
What's great about it: Creative, Entertaining
What's not so great: Doesn't meet expectations

This is one of my most watched films....fun story, cool visuals, hilarious dialogue and Bruce Willis. This makes me feel like a teen again....going to the movies with friends and having a great time. Casting was spot on....Gary Oldman is funny and Chris Tucker is a riot. Different storyline than most which makes it stand out as a fun Sci-Fi flick. I decided to buy it on Blu-Ray and got the re-mastered version. No regrets. The transfer is really good and looks loads better than the first time around. So glad they re-mastered it! If you are a Bruce fan this is a must have.
What's great about it: Visuals, casting & just plain fun!
What's not so great: cheesy dialogue...but that's also a Pro!

This is a very good movie you can watch with family and friends. If you haven't seen it in a while you will be on the edge of your seat with anticipation. The movie is also funny with actors like Bruce Willis and Chris Tucker. The surround sound and video are also something you should find enjoyable given its Blu-ray quality. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
What's great about it: Blu-ray Video, Blu-ray sound
What's not so great: none

I've had this movie on regular DVD for quite a while, and watched it again and again. That was until my 2 year old got the disk. We bought it again but this time on BD, and I found myself saying "WOW what a difference!"
The action, and graphics really come to life, and on a HD tv, through an HDMI cable, you will find yourself seeing this movie for the first time all over again.
What's great about it: graphics are great, plot line is good, the "future tech" is very nice.
What's not so great: Price tag.
I would recommend this to a friend!
