What's great about it: I can't think of one thing
What's not so great: Unusable after 5 to 6 cleanings, brushes scratch floors

I am very disapointed with this steam vac, in 2 years i used it barely 10 times on a small carpet terrain and it broke 3 times and I already spend 140$ on it. first the soap canister started leaking, to replace it 50$, then the brushes froze to replace 90$ then not even a month after it froze again.I mean it is ridiculous. I don't have pets and I only need to clean before my baby crawl so I barely use it .Don't waste your money on this machine. not worth a penny.
What's great about it: waste of money
What's not so great: heavy and like a jitsaw puzzle
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst carpet cleaner EVER

I had a Hoover Carpet cleaner for years. Was time to replace it and get one that would scrub. I wasn't excited about paying $300.00 but had been happy with my last Hoover. Within a month or so I realized this was the biggest piece of junk I had ever purchased. The plastic pieces kept breaking and falling off. The handle on the bottom tank broke, the lever for the height adjustment broke. the plugs from the upper tank broke. This is only within the first month or so. After dealing with this for about a year I broke down and purchassed the cheaper unit for under $200.00. The cheaper one is much like the unit I used for years. I am much happier with the new purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the performance, when it isn't broken

When the steam vacs came out, I was one of the first to run out and buy one, of which I found it to be fabulous and very easy to use. I was recommending it to everyone! Then as some time went on, a small part broke and so I brought it back to be serviced. To my suprise, they couldn't repair it but instead, gave me the option of picking out the latest and greatest Hoover Steam Vac, of which I picked out the one with the similar price. At first I thought great, a brand new steam vac, but as time went on and 4 New Hoover Steam Vacs later- all with its own separate issues, I am not finding it so Fabulous! The latest thing that happened was after a one time use, the liquid soap dispenser fell off and the bottom brushes stopped rotating. I take care of my steam vac with the utmost care and am puzzled each time with its problems. I do say I keep going back to the Hoover because of its great performance, but am tired of bringing it in to be serviced.
My next exchange may be a different Brand!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bad news for carpet cleaning companies! Most likely they already know. I used their services and paid 150 -250 dollars for each service and it was not so great experience.
I have a 2 year old very busy boy, a German Shepherd Dog and light color carpeting %90 of the 5 bedroom house. I researched the internet and bought this product. The result was amazing. The stains are gone. The rooms are fresh and look very clean.
The only drawback is that it is advertised as a steam cleaner and it is not. Nevertheless, I find this product as an excellent addition to my home appliances. It is worth every penny spent.
I strongly recommend this product to every one in the market for carpet cleaners.
What's great about it: ease of use, overall weight, visual feedback, good looking, deep cleaning, vacuums wet very well
What's not so great: it is not a steam cleaner
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've bought 3 of those, just because I had parts from the prior machines. This and the last machine broke after just several months, the brushes stopped rotating. the first machine stopped picking up solution. I trusted Hoover for a quality machine but three broken machines in just over 2 years? Save yourself the problems, buy something else.
What's great about it: Works great the first few times
What's not so great: Brushes stop rotating after 4 or 5 uses. And this is my 3rd. I thought the last time it was just a fluke.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does a really good job cleaning the carpet. Water Reservoirs are bigger than most. Only reason , not 5 Stars is the machine is heavy, somewhat tiring to operate, & very difficult to take up & down stairs. There is nothing to hold onto when transporting up & down stairs.
