Smaller than my 2015 ge cafe series 1.5 microwave

My 1.5 cafe series microwave/convection oven died recently and I need a replacement of similar size because I have mine built in with the optional trim kit. I had questions since my original one is discontinued and my new options are now a little smaller or a little bigger dimensions. The do not currently make my exact dimensions. I went through GE chat and was guided toward my best option and would require a new trim kit. Customer service was excellent overall and I was able to make it work and it looks great. Trim kit I got is metal and only thing that was worse is that from the side there is a little bit of black plastic that my previous trim kit had zero plastic visible.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Microwave but Questionable Handling

I’m on my second microwave after initial delivery. There was an obvious dent on the side of the microwave the installers covered with warranty paperwork prior to taking the install pic. The packaging seemed robust and the microwave is great. Make sure to inspect for damage!

The microwave was easy to install with the trim kit and it looks very nice as a replacement to the old whirlpool that finally died. I would recommend.

Owners manual incorrect!!

The owners manual states that the convection roast feature is programmable up to 425 degrees. This is incorrect. GE service people and the GE call-in line staff don’t know anything about this. The microwave is okay… but it does not do what the hard copy of the user manual says it does which created a lot of expensive and time wasting problems for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mine is a convection/microwave. It has quite a few options and sensors that make this appliance very practical over a regular microwave. Just wish it was a little bigger in height like the Kenmore it replaced and that it had a handle to open the door rather than pushing in the start/stop button.

New Model Never As Good

Had a old, old workhorse of a GE Microwave that finally bit the dust. The new model not as well build. More plastic parts. Lacks the "quality car door slam" sound of the old one. I am just a grumpy old man.
