Disappointingly short life span on this microwave.

For the price we paid, I expected this microwave to last longer than 3 years. The control panel has died and only two buttons work. It is very discouraging to pay top dollar for a built in with a trim kit and have it die so soon. Looks like we should go with another brand for the replacement. I hope the oven and cooktop don't die soon....

The display is mostly burnt out, turntable rotates when the door is opened. Many of the display functions do not work

Don’t buy any GE appliances , they don’t last!

I purchased new for my kitchen renovation. Worked well until it didn’t! Turntable was constantly on with or without the door open. Eventually the turntable stopped and so did the microwave. You can hear the unit running but will not heat/cook for anymore.
I do not want to pay a repairman to tell me I need a new microwave. Will not buy anymore GE appliances. This was part of a package in 2021 and at about the 2 yr mark nothing but problems. First mother board on stove, then the washer on my washer/dryer combo and now the microwave. Stop trashing the environment with these expensive disposable appliances!

We want to help out with your microwave running but not heating. This is usually caused by the door not mechanism not shutting properly or by having the timer function on by accident. You can also try an electronic reset, by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.

known defective digital screen!

as many others have noted the digital screen fails within 2 years and is just outside of warranty when it fails. The replacement part I have noticed is not cheap and also fails again within 2 years. Digital screens should last forever. This is a known defect that GE refuses to fix. There should be a product recall. It's unacceptable they continue sell a known defective product. Stay away!

Not working again after fixing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this microwave fixed by bodewell back this 2025 June and again it stopped working..i believe the same microchip failure.. something is fundamentally wrong with this product.. please help

Think twice before you buy

I opted to get this in my new home. My home is only four months old and my microwave already has scratches on it. The "GE profile" symbol on the front is coming off as well. In addition, you are unable to set the exact time you want as it is already set by the knob in 10 second intervals.

Nice clean design

I bought this microwave as a replacement for my previous 14 Yr old GE Profile. Going from touch pad to dial was a little awkward but no major issues.

We received this a week ago, to put in our new island. I've already used it many times, and everything I have baked has turned out great. I have a small kitchen, so it's a real space saver. Plus, I have an extra oven for the upcoming holidays.
