Totally unacceptable quality and performance

Writing in frustration to caution purchase of the GE brand. Extremely frustrated with the GE Profile 1.5 Cu. Ft. Countertop Convection/Microwave Oven PEB9159SJ2SS purchased 3 years ago assuming its a premier brand. Panel Switches don't work anymore, turntable keeps turning by itself randomly, LED display digits failing and now completely stopped heating. Spent twice on repair of switch and control panel as I this was custom fit into my cabinet with special faceplates. Now its just a shining piece of junk! Similar frustrating experience with GE stove top where the letterings have erased, knobs broke and spark contact keeps failing. Never ever GE!

Terrible. Master panel went out 4 weeks after warranty expired. The trim kit was 250 on top of 417 for this microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Main control panel failed just like everyone else. Digits faded then buttons stopped working. Lucky enough to have a home warranty that replaced it for us, only for the same failure to happen again a couple years later. I thought I might have just gotten a bad microwave, but reading reviews here I see that isn’t the case. How is there not a class action lawsuit against this thing yet?

I have had my microwave a little over a year, the control panel has messed up to where you are GUESSING the time and temperature that you are inputting onto the control panel..

Bad quality

We spent a lot of money on this microwave. First issue was the door starting to crack. While that was cosmetic it seems that a 2 year old microwave shouldn’t have that issue so soon. Fast forward 2 years later, now the control panel is going out. Seems like others are having the same problem. My whole kitchen is GE appliance and I’m sad to see such poor quality.

Gives out after a few years

This products looks sleek and functioned as you would expect a microwave to for about 2 years. We then noticed the display panel started to go out along with several buttons (including add 30 seconds, the 1, etc.). Really sucks given the price of this product and their extremely limited warranty of 1 year. Pretty disappointed in GE here.
I would candidly recommend going with a different brand. If you take the time to skim other reviews, you’ll see a similar thread of complaints. They’re clearly aware of these issues and don’t care. Vote with your wallet and avoid this product.
