Bad switches after a 1 year

We recommend resetting your microwave by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function, this will require service by a qualified technician. OK microwave, lousy oven

It works pretty well for a non-inverter microwave but the convection functions are very weak, taking twice the recommended time for baking. We now just set the oven as high as it will go (425 oF) and hope things will bake in a reasonable time. Convection Roast (uses some microwave energy and convection heat together) will only go to 375 oF but is more effective than plain Convection Bake because of the extra energy delivered. And now, 18 months of use later, the keypad has failed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Defective control panel and glass tray malfunction

Do not buy! Lighted numerals started going out first and I just kept using it due to expense of repair having to use a separate timer and guessing. Then the rotating glass tray won't stop rotating until you close the door. This is an expensive unit, that and with the name "GE" I thought I would have a microwave that would last.

Absolutely hate my GE Profile Series Microwave. We've had NOTHING but trouble. After 5 service appointments we finally received a new microwave. Guess What??? MORE PROBLEMS! Brand new, out of the box, tested the Beverage setting and received a "SENSOR ERROR" straight out of the box!!! Unbelievable! I would never recommend this product to anyone!

Great combination - love the convection feature

Prior to this, we had no experience with convection cooking. Combining it with the microwave was a great idea. The only suggested improvement I would make is to have push button control for the timer as it is for the other functions. Otherwise, a great product.
