Displays code then shuts down.

The unit seems to work okay, except within 30 minutes it shuts down and displays the code EC. The literature says that this code means that the ambient temperature had dropped below 45 degrees during operation. Well, the temp never even approached 45 degrees anytime.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Piece of junk

The best thing I can say about this product is that it was packed well. When we set it up we followed all the directions. Within 24 hours of turning it on we had 3 error messages and it didn't remove one bit of moisture from the air based on no water in the canister. In short it was a piece of junk. I returned it to the store and bought a different brand which is working great.

Affordable, High Quality Dehumidifier

After several years of buying dehumidifiers that only lasted about one year before their compressors failed, I did my homework and chose this Frigidaire unit. It made some "Top Ten Dehumidifiers" lists which showed up in my online searches. It works great in my wet basement. Have had mine for about two years now and it works as well as it did on day one. I have mine set up to drain into a floor drain so I don't have to mess with emptying the reservoir, though it is a decent-sized bucket. Unlike other dehumidifiers I have had, this one was very easy to set up to drain continually. A standard size garden hose screws right onto the unit. I just used a section cut from an old hose that had burst. Easy as could be, didn't leak a single drop! I'm very happy with this dehumidifier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dried out humid basement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house was built in the 1950's and the basement was always damp and musty.
Placed the dehumidifier in the middle and set to 65%. Installed a rubber garden hose to bypass the onboard tank and drain directly to the floor drain. It has really helped to minimize the dampness and smell that was present before.

Only worked for 4 months then failed

I bought this unit in June 2016. It worked beautifully during the months of June through September. All maintenance was performed as suggested. One year later, plug it in, let it run for a while and notice the fan runs but no compressor noise and no moisture collected. I am extremely disapointed in this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Well but on the louder side!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this unit running for the last several weeks and it fill the bucket each and every day. As a result, I would have to say it works very well. However, the noise of the unit is louder than expected. This has made me change were I keep the unit but a minor concern overall.
