Takes out lots of humidity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works hard and fairly quiet. Not sure the humidity gauge is working properly. Unless on continuous mode it stops for made 1 minute and then starts again. The humidity level can't change that rapidly. It also doesn't show the same humidity level as my indoor gauge. Also when full the humidity will show the level (e.g 60%), but when the bucket is dumped and reinstalled the level will then show something less. That just doesn't make sense.

Hi RJJB, thank you for your review. The dehumidifier is designed to pull air across the dehumidifying coils in order to collect moisture. In order to check the humidity level in the room, the fan must turn on, pull air across the coils and internal sensors to compare the current humidity level to the setting RH% you wish to achieve. If the humidity in the room is higher than the RH% setting the unit is set to, the compressor will kick on and dehumidifying will begin. Hope this helps! -Jennifer

Has a clean filter timer, with a light

The excellent feature no one's talking about is the Clean Filter Timer with Light and Reset Button. My last de-humidifier, was nasty and probably didn't work well because I would forget to keep it clean.

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although my house is air-conditioned, having this dehumidifier helps keep the humidity down without running the AC overtime. It makes a big difference in comfort. This model has an easy to remove easy to remove and empty bucket; also the filter is easier to remove than some of the earlier models. It does not seem to use much electricity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought the unit for new construction basement. It running great and we have a hose to direct the water right into the floor drain. That option is great.

Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this unit a month ago and I'm glad I did. My old one was always very noisy. This new unit is quiet and work perfectly. It fills up the bucket every 24 hours when we set the humidity at 50%.
